Let's start with the fact that I use this oven myself at home and am regularly pleased with the results it achieves. Here I would like to tell you why it has become one of my favourite ovens.

P134H 509 by Effeuno Forni, the market leader in electric pizza ovens for the home, is a very powerful oven that can reach temperatures of up to 509 degrees (as the product name suggests). I don't want to bore you with technical details here, you can find them better here anyway, but I do want to show you that we use the oven ourselves and put it under the microscope on a regular basis. But also deep dish pizza, Chicago pizza or any kind of pan pizza. The larger P134HA 509 model can also bake bread wonderfully thanks to its larger baking chamber.
Easy Pizza Line - certified by AVPN
The P134H 509 is part of Effeuno's Easy Pizza Line. The Easy Pizza Line is Effeuno's mid-range. The entry level is now covered by Effeovens, and in the high end Effeuno offers the Gara, the absolute top model.
This oven is also available in the mid-range as the Evolution, which is essentially the same oven as the P134H 509 but with fully digital and programmable controls. The P134HA 509 model is essentially the same, but with a higher baking chamber, allowing you to bake loaves that rise high.
Plus, like all of the brand's ovens, the P134H is certified by the AVPN - Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (Association for Authentic Neapolitan Pizza). So you can be sure that you are baking authentic Neapolitan pizzas with these ovens, plus you can use the oven in (small) catering establishments, the P134H 509 meets the highest standards.
But now to the oven itself - What oven can you buy for the current price of 1649 leva (843 euro)?
Before using the oven for the first time, it is important to heat it up properly. Effeuno recommends heating the oven in stages. I have had good results with the following procedure: to light the stone, place it in the oven and heat it on half power for 60 minutes. Then let the stone cool slowly to room temperature before lighting it a second time, but this time on full power for 60 minutes. The biscotti stone is then glowing and ready to use. Note: Smoke may appear when burning in the oven. This is quite normal. Just open the oven door to let the smoke out.

One of the distinguishing features of the Effeuno P134H 509 is its ability to reach temperatures of up to 509°C, which is essential for making authentic Neapolitan-style pizza. The oven heats up remarkably quickly and maintains a constant temperature, allowing you to bake a pizza in just 60-90 seconds, resulting in a crispy crust with a perfectly leopard-spotted edge (if desired). Even eggshell-like crusts are no problem for this oven (In my opinion, the absolute final stage when it comes to achieving the perfect pizza crust). The combination of a biscotto stone and two heating elements (upper and lower) ensures even heat distribution. This gives you an ideal crispy base that does not burn, which can sometimes be difficult to achieve in conventional home ovens or in ovens with the cordierite stone.
I'm a big fan of Saputo Biscotto or fireclay stones and the stone in the P134H is no exception. Superior temperature management, no unrecognizably charred bases and ideal heat release make this stone the perfect base for the best pizza you'll bake every time.
In addition, the oven's temperature control is precise, with independent controls for the top and bottom elements, so you can set the cooking environment precisely depending on the style of pizza or other dishes you're preparing. My settings are usually such that I heat the oven to 509 degrees with the temperature controls on each, and then measure the stone temperature with a laser temperature gun. If the stone is between 450 and 500 degrees, I turn the lower heating element down to 300-350 degrees and the upper heating element down to 400. It all depends on the type of pizza you want to make. It is important to check the temperature regularly with the laser thermometer. As a pizza maker, you'll find your setting with this oven and you'll love experimenting how different settings affect your pizza.

In terms of design, the Effeuno P134H 509 is compact yet robust, making it suitable for the home kitchen without taking up too much space. It has a minimalist, industrial design and is made from high-quality materials such as stainless steel, which not only adds to its durability but also makes it easy to clean.
The build quality is excellent and the oven feels robust, with well thought out components such as a thick insulated door with a glass window that allows you to watch the cooking without losing heat. The front window stays cool, and with the built-in fan, the only part of the oven that heats up is the top spoiler, which provides heat dissipation.
Versatility
While the P134H 509 is designed primarily for pizza, the high temperature and adjustable controls make it suitable for a wide range of other dishes. The oven can handle a variety of recipes from flatbread to stir-fried vegetables (baked potatoes!) and meats.
Is it User-friendly?
Despite its professional features, the Effeuno P134H 509 is easy to use. The temperature control is intuitive and the oven requires no special installation, apart from a suitable power point with individual fuse.

What's more, its compact size makes it easy to store when not in use, but it also looks great permanently in the kitchen on the worktop. Cleaning is a breeze thanks to the stainless steel housing and removable stone. However, as with most high temperature pizza ovens, some maintenance is required to keep the stone clean and ensure that over time not too many burn marks will appear. Once heated, the stone cleans itself by pyrolysis.

Verdict
The Effeuno P134H 509 is an excellent choice for those seriously interested in making pizza at home. Its high temperature capabilities with its Saputo Biscotto Stone, the build quality and versatility make it an exceptional home pizza oven. Although it requires some investment and some countertop space, the results it achieves - authentic, restaurant-quality pizzas - are worth every penny for pizza lovers. If you want to take your homemade pizza to a professional level, the P134H 509 will not disappoint. If you want to bake tall bread, we recommend P134HA - basically the same oven, but with a larger baking chamber that provides equally good results, but requires slightly different heating control due to its interior dimensions. Want to surpass the P134H 509? Then the Extra Power Evolution Line is your choice. All the benefits of the P134H but with digital control for maximum comfort!
But the P134H 509 is an absolute recommendation and gets Furnite. bg's seal of approval.
